My new (favorite) skirt

Desde que me cosi esta falda a finales de verano, no paro de ponermela...

Since I sewn this skirt at the end of the summer, I have used it a lot!!

Pattern: ALTUR ATELIER

Fabric: MISAN 

Al final de este verano visite la web de una de mis marcas de ropa favoritas, DES PETITES HAUTES, y me enamore de esta falda...

At the end of the summer, I visited the web of one of my favorite clothes brand, DES PETITES HAUTES, and I felt in love with this skirt...

Me encanta el tejido, pero debido al desierto que reinaba en mi armario de invierno necesitaba algo mas basico, mas ponible... Asi que acudi a un corte de tela de algodon gordo satinado con un poco de elastano que encontre en MISAN y que me encanta. No hace falta forrar la falta y ademas es muy comoda por el pequeno porcentaje de elastano que lleva el tejido.

I love the fabric, but my winter cuoboard was soooooooo empty. Thus I needed something really weareble... I look for the perfect fabric inside my treasures cupboard, and here it is! A black, thick and satinc cotton, a little bit stretchy too. I didn't need to line the skirt, and as it is a stretchy fabric, the skirt is very comfortable.

El volante va de una de las costuras laterales al centro de la espalda, reduciendo progresivamente su longitud hasta cero. Va fruncido a la cirtura.

The flounce goes from one seam side to the center back, and the length decreases smoothly. 
 

Es importante a la hora de elegir el tejido, que tenga cuerpo pero que no sea muy grueso porque el volante se te puede lenvantar delante y sacarte tripa... algo que no queremos en absoluto, cierto?

You must avoid thick fabrics, because the flounce in the front could make the skirt too bulky on the front and we don't want an awful shape, do we?
 
Lleva cinturilla con un poco de forma y por supuesto entretelada.

I put an interlined, shaped waist band.

Cremallera en la costura central de la espalda.

The zip is located in the seam of the center back.

Para cerrala que colocado un cierre de pantalon que me encanta y que desde que lo encontre en MacCulloch&Wallis no paro de usarlo para todo.

Since I found this clasp bindings in MacCulloch&Wallis I became a super-fan and I use them always.

 Esta falda, como os he dicho, me la he puesto en varias ocasiones, la encuentro muy versatil. Ahi van algunas de mis combinaciones...

As I told you, I have used this skirt many times since I sewn it, I think it is very versatil. These are some of my looks with it...

Y este finde, la llevaba con un jersey negro, bailarinas, perfecto de cuero negro,... y para darle un poco de vidilla al gris Londres... unos pantis rojos!

And this weekend, I wore it with a black sweater, flats, black leather bicker,... And I added a little bit of colour to our grey London... with bright red tights!!
 

Ya esaba lista para ir al curso de diademas a ATELIER MILLINERY, uno de mis sitios favoritos del Soho...

I was ready to follow the beaded  tiaras workshop at ATELIER MILLINERY, one of my favoite places in Soho..
